Shiplap Trailer Flooring
Hardwood shiplap trailer flooring is the standard profile used on most flatbed and enclosed trailer decks. Each board is milled with a rabbeted (shiplap) edge that overlaps the adjacent board, which ties the deck together, sheds water at the seam, and lays up into a tight, flat surface.
We stock shiplap pattern trailer decking in two dense tropical hardwoods: Angelim Pedra, aka Brazilian Apitong, and Keruing, aka Genuine Apitong. Both species are kiln dried for dimensional stability, and graded for the highest quality boards available - essentially a Clear, Defect Free, board.
Shiplap boards come in a 5-inch face (5-3/8 inch overall width) and a 7-inch face (7-3/8 inch overall width), in thicknesses from 1-1/8 inch to 1-3/8 inch. Fingerjointed lengths are also stocked where fixed length long clear boards are required.
