Cumaru is commonly used for both exterior decking and interior flooring. It is medium to dark brown wood with some red tones as well. Very hard and very dense, Cumaru is the closest specie to Ipe or Brazilian Walnut. It must be kiln dried for most applications due its higher shrinkage percentages from green to dry.
